ANTONIO CITTERIO

Antonio Citterio was born in Meda in 1950 and graduated in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic.  Star of international renown in the field of industrial design, he is currently working with Italian and foreign companies such as Albatros – Sanitec Group, Ansorg, Arclinea, Axor – Hansgrohe, B&B Italia, Flexform, Flos, Fusital, Guzzini, Iittala, Inda, Kartell, Pozzi Ginori – Sanitec Group, Skantherm, Tre Più, Vitra.

In 1999 he founded “Antonio Citterio and Partners”, a multidisciplinary studio for architectural, industrial and graphic design, together with partner Patricia Viel. The studio develops projects for residential and commercial complexes, industrial buildings, conservational restructuring of public buildings, planning of workspaces, offices, showrooms and hotels; and furthermore he is active in the corporate communication sector, creating corporate image, fittings and graphics projects.

Recent projects include: the headquarters of Edel Music on the river Elba; B&B Italia’s Research and Development Centre with showroom and offices at Novedrate; the Corporate Image project for De Beers (London, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles); the Bulgari Hotel in Milan; the renovation of the historical Town Hall in Clusone overlooking the Piazza dell’Orologio; the project for the headquarters of the pharmaceutical company GlaxoSmithKline in Verona; projects for two family residences in Sardinia and Switzerland.

On-going projects include: the implementation of “Bulgari Hotels and Resorts” in Bali;  the project for the new “Technogym Village” in Cesena (production, office and business centre site); reconversion of the Ex Riva Calzoni service sector and accommodation facilities based in Milan; the project for the new Busto Arsizio and Rozzano squares; the project for the redevelopment of the south pier “Molo Guardiano sud” at Ravenna Marina, following success in the architectural competition published by the Port Authority of Ravenna.
